"An idea of school in deep forest of Borneo borderline, that needs to metamorph from cocoon to butterfly, from borderline school to frontline school." The module mimics the shape of cocoon utilising Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) as structure processed from local material. The module opens to any configuration depending on the quantity of students and the grades provided in the school. Using louvre timber envelope, the modules fuse perfectly with the nature. It also allows daylight while filtering the tropical sunlight into the space inside. The use of hybrid wall and partition provide the flexibility of space for the students and teacher to conduct activities as a part of fun learning. The module of circular cocoon, giving new method of conducting education. It can be assembled together as full configuration of circle, or half circle, or even quarter of circle, place in different place and heights, depending on the needs such as students quantity, level of studies (from elementary - junior high - senior high school), or as dormitory. Seeing education from fun learning and environment perspective, for a better frontline school in country of Indonesia’s border.
