Masjid Raya Gorontalo Competition

A Mosque concept for a relatively young province of Gorontalo, taken from the philosophy of universe, that it is mostly shaped by in rounded / ball shaped planet. Mosque as a "planet" in a vast space created by the Almighty, with its amenities as moons orbiting surround the building. The concept also incorporate minimum intervention to the environment with a "hill-like" presence, blending with the nature perfectly. The experiment of using translucent concrete as roof material, causing the interior filled with diffused daylight at noon, and emitting lights at night to the surrounding.
